This game was created by a group of five students from the University of Portland. We completed the game in under three weeks of development and it was our first 3D game for each of us. The game was created in the Godot gaming engine.

In case the game is confusing when it comes to combat here is a quick summary:
First to fight any enemy you must first press "q" to lock on to the enemy. This gives you the ability to move the sword around by moving your mouse. To attack the enemy you must press and hold the left click button, drag the tip of the sword across the enemy, then finally release the left click button. This will draw a strike across the screen and if the strike is across the enemy and you are in range it will do damage.

The second main mechanic is blocking when it comes to the minotaur enemy. Ocassionally the minotaur will try to strike you, a red arrow indicator will appear on the screen. You must hold the right click button, move your mouse in the direction of the arrow to have the sword tip facing the arrow, and finally this will block the attack.

Good luck with playing the game. There are still several known bugs, but since the project is done we will likely not be coming back for updates.

Finally thanks in advance for playing!

I found it too difficult to play on a laptop. It's good to try out and prototype new mecahnics, see how well they are received. The lock on and draw a strike mecanic for me, seems unnecessarily complicated.
Perhaps on a phone the swish action would work much better.

If you continue with it, I'd consider:

1 - a tutorial inside the game to teach the controls

2- only have one attacker to start with - let the player get used to the controls first

3 - consider making the controls easier.
